1. Burj Khalifa:
The Burj Khalifa, known to be Burj Dubai at the design stage is a skycraper in Dubai and known to be the tallest building in the world. It has a staggering height of 828m. Its a 163 story building having 900 apartments.Its construction started in September 2004 and the official inauguration was held on 4 Jan 2010. The total cost of the project is estimated to be US $ 1.5 billion. The building is equipped with worlds fastest elevators with a speed of 64 km/hr. The tower is designed by Chicago based Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. But as we guess, its massively expensive with rates reaching $4000 per sqr. feet.
2. Abraj Al Bait Towers:
The Abraj Al-Bait Towers is an under construction structure in Mecca, Saudi Arabia which is also known as the Mecca Royal Hotel Clock Tower. Its estimated height is decided to be 601m with 95 floors. Once completed it will create several world records such as being the second tallest building in world, tallest hotel in the world, tallest clock tower, largest building on the basis of floor area which is 16,150,000 sq ft. Its complex is nerby the world's largest mosque, Masjid al Haram. Its being constructed by the Saudi Binladin Group.

Taipei 101 is the world's third tallest skyscraper with a height of 509m which is located in Xinyi District,Taipei, Taiwan. The building was officially ranked as the world's tallest from 2004 before opening of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010. It was designed by C.Y. Lee & partners and constructed by KTRT Joint Venture. The Taipei 101,as the name indicates is having 101 floors above ground and 5 floors below it.. The tower houses a multi-level shopping mall, number of fashionable stores, restaurants and clubs.
4. Shanghai World Financial Center:
The Shanghai World Financial Center is world's fourth tallest skyscraper which is in Pudong, Shanghai, China. Its developed by Mori Building and designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox.It consists up of offices, hotels, conference rooms,shopping malls and even observation decks. With a height of 492 meters and having 101 floors in total, the Shanghai World Financial Center is currently world's second heighest hotel and the tallest building in china. Named the best skyscraper of 2008 by architects across the world.
5.Petronas Towers:
The Petronas Towers, best known for their beautiful construction are one of the world's most popular Skyscrapers present at Kuala lumpur , Malaysia. The Petronas Towers are twin towers and were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until the record was surpassed by Taipei 101. But they still remain the tallest twin buildings in the world. The have a height of 452m and consist 88 floors each. Both the towers are connected by a beautiful skybridge. They have become the icon of Malaysia.
6. Nanjing Greenland Financial Center:
The Nanjing Greenland Financial Center is skyscraper located in Nanjing, China. It has a staggering height of 450m which comprises of 89 floors. Its construction was completed in April 2010. This huge building houses retail and office space in the lower section, and restaurants and a public observatory near at top floors. Its the second tallest building in China mountains. Its also designed by the architectural firm Skidmore led by Adrian Smith.
7. Willis Tower:
The as the Sears Tower is on of the tallest skyscrapers in the world and the tallest in the United States. Its a 108-story building with a whopping height of 1451-foot (442 m) exists in Chicago, Illinois. It was the tallest building in the world at the time of its completion in 1973 and also managed to hold its rank for nearly 25 years. The buildings name was officially changed from Sears Tower to Willis Tower on July 16, 2009.

The Kingkey 100, which was formerly known to be Kingkey Finance Center Plaza, is among the tallest skyscraper in China and World. Its situated in Shenzhen,Guangdong province, China.It has a massive height of 441.8 metres (1,449 ft) containing 100 floors, which as indicated, describes its name.It has 98 floors in total out of which 68 contain 173,000 square metres of Class A office space, 22 stories for a 35,000 square metres six-star business hotel and the top four floors of the skyscraper consist several restaurants and a massive garden. It also contains luxury brand stores, restaurants and a BLT supermarket. It even hosts Shenzhen's first IMAX cinema.
9. Guangzhou International Finance Center:
Guangzhou International Finance Centre simply known as Guangzhou West Tower is a 440.2m tall skyscraper at Zhujiang Avenue West in Tianhe District at Guangzhou, China. It consists 103 floors among which 1 to 66 are used as office, 67 to 68 are mechanical equipment, 69 to 98 as a Four Seasons hotel and 99 and 100 are observation deck. The building was designed by Wilkinson Eyre.
10.Trump International Hotel and Tower:
The Trump International Hotel and Tower which is also faimous as Trump Tower Chicago and locally as the Trump Tower, is a skyscraper condo-hotel in the town of Chicago, Illinois which is the second highest building in USA. The building was named after real estate developer Donald Trump, designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and constructed by Bovis Lend Lease. Its a 98-story building which reaches a height of 423 m including its spire.
